Well it started one morning in Chicago
On a Saturday, cold, and so blue
From a long week, so busy and bitter
Just one thing on my mind to do
So I got out of bed and drank water
Grabbed a vitamin pill and a look
at the mirror, and then to my razor
Put the guard on, and a long breath I took
Well I’ve been keepin a beard for awhile now
and trimmin it down has gone well
Feelin confident, I even shaved my head once
Now the second time, is this story I tell
A lesson, from a beginner, I will gift you
While your beard and your head aint that large
Before you take chunks out your hairdo
Make sure that your razor is charged
Now I wish I could say it looked punk rock
I would call it a mullet, but it aint
It’s like if Pollock had my head as his canvas
And these patches of hair were his paint
Well it started one morning in Chicago
On a Saturday, cold, and so blue
From a long week, so busy and bitter
Just one thing on my mind to do
